new member and so happy

I will post the pics later but...i got a text. yes a text from the Rolex shop at the Wynn in Las Vegas and it said, "Merry Christmas you got your wish." I called the text number and it was the manger from the Wynn and he said he saw my name on the list for Daytonas and that i wanted a new SS white faced Daytona. Any how, they didnt even unbox it they just checked the shipping and mailed the new watch to me. What a perfect Christmas gift I got. My wife thought it was funny I took pictures of the boxes, packing and unvailing of the watch. I will post later but what a nice change from the DateJust I have. Just a work of art. And I was on the wait list at the Wynn for less than 2 weeks. I will post the pics later if anyone is interested in the Wynn set up and shipping method and how it was packed up.

Welcome... Two weeks wait? What is all this I keep hearing about 3-5 YEARS wait lists??? Urban Myth??

Did you have to leave a deposit and/or have you purchased there before?

Sorry for all the questions, but I was in there a couple weeks ago, got nice attentive help, but they did not have much I wanted to buy.

Indeed Wolfgang...the last 3 AD's that I have been in each had a GV!

Anyhow...Congrats on your Daytona....that has to be the shortest wait I've ever heard of!

trying to get the pics up. I also had a private showing at the Wynn Rolex and they are the largest Rolex only shop in the world...I did call to verify that they were not lying to me about that. They brought me in the back room to show me some very rare pieces. It turns out that most of the Rolexs (except the SS sport models) can be had for 25-60% off of the 2008-2009 models. They told me that if the sales person can write up the sale as a friends and family for Rolex workers that Rolex has done an un-authorized sale. i was looking at the womans masterpiece with the diamond rose vines on the dial and band (white gold). By the way when i say the largest rolex shop in the world it is the largest rolex inventory of new stuff in the world. they claim that they get a promise from Rolex to get 4 SS daytonas each month unlike most places that get one or two per year. Please dont blast me on the stats this is just what they said and Rolex verified with me. My jewler here in Del Mar even said he cant get a new SS Daytona and he specializes in very fresh but not new and rare Rolex. in fact he just got the red daytona from the 70s that he was showing me but i forget the cost but it was heavy cost. I called back the store manager and told him thank you and next week when i am in Vegas i will get him a large tip and purchase a new Rolex for my wife. He said no one is pleasant any more and i will get a call and be on the priority list for what ever i want or need from them for now on. i dont know if business is that bad or i just got in on a soft spot but not a bad place to be in for me i think...until i go broke buying the white gold masterpiece or platnium masterpiece for me. Damn what a bad habit we all have here!

It's amazing! When I went in the same store not that long ago, I was told that they could probably get me one in about 6 weeks if, if I purchased any other Rolex. That was they pitch to obtain a SS Daytona. You had great luck..quite unusual. Enjoy!
