So I just got myself a DJ and would like to kick off things right by having it serviced/polished. A few folks here have mentioned Mr. Gallagher's name on here and I'd like to know what your experiences have been like with him. I'm thinking about giving him a call later on this evening.

I'm the guy who introduced Andrew to the Forum.

He worked 5 years for Cartier and 5 years on the RSC Dallas bench - and is exactly as good as that record would imply.

He lives way out in the woods in Maine raising kids and poultry and is a heck of a nice guy. You will not be disappointed.

I doubt that Andrew has a national following - he doesn't advertise and gets most of his work in referral from jewelers.

I first heard of Andrew from the owner of Kennebec Jewelry and Repair in Farmingdale Maine (207) 582 5200.

Andrew is a one man band working out of his house (like so many people up here in the 1950's) - he and his wife home school their 4 very polite kids.

Might I suggest starting a new thread (when you can devote a couple of hours) and introduce yourself and offer to answer Rolex related questions.

I am fairly certain that we have never had an actual RSC tech on the board and I know there would be great interest.

Start a thread on the General Discussion board and sit back.

But I think Andrew actually worked for Rolex, doesn't appear the other guy has.

Yes, I had already stumbled onto that thread already, interesting. I guess I'll have to think on it a little. I did work inside and was trained by Rolex, so I guess that is my most unique view that I have to offer. Being an on the outside of Rolex looking in has also been an enlightening experience too. I guess you could say that the pendulum has swung in both directions in my career.

I joined TRF and read about Andrew from the posts above. My 6 year old SS submariner needed a service and I sent it to Mr Gallagher who just finished servicing it. I just got my beloved watch back and am extremely pleased with it - its pristine again and I am assured that it has been finely regulated for accurate time.
