Can somebody recommend some straps to me?

Hi everybody,

I am looking for some replacement straps. And I saw lots of straps online, and I don’t know whether they are good or not. I am wondering whether your guys can recommend some straps maker and some type strap to me.

Thanks.

Hellz yeah!! Check out the AMMO's by Kevin. You'll pay a little extra for them, but they can't be beat IMHO. Here's the website:

www.watches24seven.com

Enjoy the search!

Kev straps are awesome.

For a bit less money.
Rob Montana gives you custom for a bit less.

If you like gators...
APB in France.

Those are the best of the bunch IMHO.

I've only gotten straps from Panatime. You can't beat them for the price but there are some others I would like to try. Kaktus, Ted Su and The Strap Smith seem very good

antique_leatherstraps

Jay:
check out this seller - antique_leatherstraps, 2 weeks ago I bought couple from him, couple other TRF memebrs bought from him too; great stuff, straps I received are exactly like he shows on those pictures. IMHO his strap is better than panatime. http://shop.ebay.com/antique_leather...&_trksid=p4340.

I was at his place a couple of weeks ago Ziad and I bought about 15 straps from him. Great guy and great straps and great price the workmanship is excellent and the straps (leather) available is awesome.

Can not fault his work great value for money.

There are many great strap makers out there I have dealt with H18, Da Luca and Kaktus and all have been great. I guess what you need to do is work out what style you are looking for and then spend an afternoon surfing. With the three strap makers I have dealt with the thing that I like is that you can talk to the maker of the straps which is just great for understanding the style, make and tweaks. Good luck and look forward to the photos!

HERU, the Gunny straps is the Caitlin 1 Series the thick one you have on your california/rad?

I am really digging the thicker straps, is it soft to wear? what specs would be needed for a 44mm 1950 case? i got a 6.5ish inch wrist
7mm seems so beefy and brings a good presence to the 1950 ( in my imagination atleast)

You need 24mm width for that case. As for length, go 125/75 for thick straps. 120/80 if you like the buckle to ride up to avoid rubbing on desks and laptops.

I must visit him again when in Thailand you should see some of the leathers that he uses (sad, but they smell great) most comes in a container from Switzerland old leather school bags. The price can not be beaten if only he made buckles.

For price and quality of work, leather I would say he cannot be beaten.
