Opinions on this Citizen watch
I bought my girlfriend some earrings for christmas and ended up with some promo gift certificate that could only be used today. So I picked up this Skyhawk with the black bracelet. Retail was $699 I ended up paying $350. Anyone know about these? It came with a cd to program it (scary) and looks like a busy watch. I have 30 days to keep it or return it. I know its not a rolex but is it worth keeping for that price?

The black will scratch a little easy. The digital mixed with the moving hands is a little hard to overlook. It still looks pretty cool. I'd put it in the rotation!

Citizen now uses CD instead of instruction booklet. that's nothing to be scared about .. LOL
its a great watch, feature wise. one thing i remember reading is that when you are in the chronograph mode, you can't light up the LCD display because the button shares the duty for start/stop (or something like that) and also, i don't think the black ion coating is tough like PVD |

That's the Zales edition (you can tell by the black inner slide rule bezel) - They're beating around the Citizen/Seiko forum selling for between $150 and $195 -
Unless you have a real need for that kind of watch, I would consider exchanging it for something of equal value for the GF. (but I'm an incurable romantic)

I think it's pretty cool, I'd wear it, but if what Nat says holds true and you can get it cheaper, I'd return it and get something else.

Do you mind if he's not a Complete Rolex dude? It's his choice not yours.
Back to the watch... Personally Citizens are great Solid watches and I've been thinking about this model since I want to be a Pilot... But I'd also need a GMTII-C! |

I bought one of these when I was in florida last year and love it, the two time zones is great and it is a great everyday beater watch. If you don't want it you can give it to me as an early birthday present lol.

Citizen watches are ok. I have a Pepsi type sports watch, only a cheapie watch to wear during the day.

That was a lame attempt at sarcasm; I have had a similar watch for about 6 years. It gets more attention than any watch I own. It is embarrassing when someone wants to see what it can do and one forgets what button does what.
