PAM 28B vs Daytona SS

Thinking of trading my Never Worn Black Daytona SS for a used PAM 28B w/o accessories.

What do you think?

I'm not sure regarding the value.. but IF both watches are of the same price (give or take 100-200 bucks), I'd take the PAM..

Without box & papers you may have trouble selling it on in future - PAM buyers like to have the whole package.

Nice (& rare-ish) though the 28 is, this does not sound like a good trade...

Cheers

28B is around USD 12,5k. Without b&p, maybe around USD 8,500.

Don't do it...

As much as love Panerai, I don't think this would be a good trade. The Daytona is a true classic, and while it can be had much more easily nowadays, I think it's still a watch I'd hold on to. Plus, it's like someone already said, you'd like to have the whole package if you're going to do a trade.

Tough call for me. Even without B and P I would make the trade from a value standpoint. You could buy the extras on the secondary market, minus the papers and you could get those from Panerai after a service. But for me the kicker would be wear ability. The 28 is not a great everyday watch if you care about scratches, especially scratches that you can't fix.

I wouldn't personally do it without box & papers.

x2 I agree it would always be a concern. While you could recreate the total package over time I'd look for a price that reflected this.
