Icon20 Any imperfections on your new rolex?

I noticed the inside ring, I think called the Renault or something like that is a tad off.

Also, I tiny pin dot on the lume at 12:00 only visible under a loop.
I was bored today so I took a loop to examine my gmt ceramic.

Lol

anybody else

I've never noticed any imperfections on mine, but like you, I also take a loupe out when I'm bored.

It usually leads to a scratch examination of the bracelet.

the inner ring is called a "rehaut". Renault is a brand

of automobile sold in Europe and elsewhere.

years ago, i got a new 2004 F 14060m. i returned it because it had a tiny metal fleck on the dial by the 11 marker. it would catch the light and sparkle.
another more recent incident, i returned a pre-owned 16610 as it had a watermark under the crystal and dust and some dirt on the lume markers! i posted about it here and the conclusion was the watch had most probably been flooded at some point.

ive had my share of imperfect rolexes.. 2 out of 3 have had problems.

That's funny I had some kind of metal flake under my panerai crystal that sparkled under light.

I guess nothing is perfect but that's what makes your Rolex different from every other.

If they were all perfect it just wouldn't be yours

On one of me Rolexes, Official is spelt Oficial.

Not a problem since it will be probably corrected at service!

I think everyone thinks a rolex is flawless and that's not the case.
They are a true work of art and every single one made has it's own imperfections.

That's the cool thing about owning a fine time piece.

I found a couple specs of "dust" under the crystal of my new GMT. Dallas RSC said that was not too uncommon and they would remove it when I brought it in...IN 5 YEARS!!!!

I think my vintage 1601, 1505 are really a work of art, back in 1970 the people of Rolex spent more time on watches and it shows. I have looked at my dials and they are flawless. The movements are also flawless.

Stated in another thread that my DSSD's bezel is off - it doesn't line up with the 12 hash mark. It's either slightly to the right or left.

So, it's not a big deal but it does bug me. Not enough to send it in for service but it does bother me. I would think that would be an easy quality control check but what do I know of Rolex's process?

Other than that, it's great.

My 1991 sub 2 tone was near perfect.
To be honest much better quality control compared to today's rolex.

playing with a loupe and a Rolex is a dangerous road... you must choose where to go once you spot the unique imperfections of your watch... they can be a total pain or make it your own timepiece.. only you can choose..

You have to admit we are a little cracked on TRF, most people would not even know what a loupe is, TRF members have loupe's like people have cell phones, and we are anal about the looks of our Rolex watches. That is what makes us different than other people.
