Repair of Gaby Sinclair's DJ - No!

The suggestions/recommendations that we, as members of this forum chip-in and get young Master Gaby's damaged Rolex DateJust repaired is a no.

Gaby, using wisdom beyond his age, has repeated declined our very gracious attempts to facilitate/expedite the repairs to his Rolex.

I most strongly support his wishes and feel that it is indeed, a private matter for him to resolve.

I thoroughly enjoyed the heated debate and discussion but now feel that the suggestion for financial support be closed, once and for all.

Gaby, you have our support!

Thank you

Hey, we're old and stupid and wanted to help out a 15 year old KID!

If that makes us a bunch of dummies - I'm *^&$* proud of it!!

I applaud your thoughtfulness Steve, I really do. You jumped in like a fellow CPO or anyone with a heart for that matter would when someone is in time of need. You are a great guy...Plus..I loved the exchange..

Well

Ok then, I understand it (a little)

I thought "let's have the kid a better day again" , I know how I feel about my watch and I would be !@#$# when it happened to me.

I also had a few bucks left so i'd thought why not , 200 times 5 is 1000.

Hell....Mosco even gives away complete watches...

I agree with you Jack. I am in for $200. Gaby is a young kid. Most of us guys have some left over change. I am all for fixing Gabys watch. No strings attached.

is it me or is this topic is going abit too far? which part of "NO" did anyone not understand?

if "we" are all that generous, how about other TRF members "in need" of abit of "TLC" also? i can probably think of a few people falling into that category...

i may get flames for saying the above, but someone gotta say it

im sure Gaby will get over it soon, it is just a watch (yes, i know im in a watch focused forum.....) and he is still young.

If there are other TRF members that may need a little help due to health issues or or other serious issues, I am in for that too. I am not a multi millionaire, but I do OK.
No, it is not just a watch. It is a beautiful DJ. And I am pretty sure he will not get over it soon.
I heard Gaby say no many times and I admire him for that. The kid needs help to fix his watch and I am in for that.

Thank you. My Canon is out for service due to a lens error, so no pics for a while. All I can say is my frequent Vegas trips are really making their "marks" on the ROO Down the road when I stop pumping money into cars, I may pick up a ROO Diver.

Why ask for money ? Just get them to send you good wine with less sulfites ( that's what is giving you the headaches ) Leo , at your age and with your social status you ought to give preference to quality not quantity ..

If anyone wants to send me the money you would have sent for this purpose I'll gladly accept it...now that I have my Green Sub I'd REALLY like a two-tone model. :)
