Servicing Rolex Exp II
Hey guys,
Got my exp II dec. of 03. Thinking of getting it serviced. I am heading to Europe this summer and am wondering if I should wait to get it done till after I go on the trip. I am currently at school, and would like to get it done back home at my AD. What is a good price to pay for service on this watch. My DDate was serviced and it was about 600. Should I expect to pay the same? Should I wait the few extra months and get it done after I might knock it around a bit when I travel? Thanks. |

Get it serviced before your trip. You will have a fresh watch, with all new gaskets to take any water activities, and if you do a service at RSC you will have a one year guarantee (that could be useful if something happens). If you knock around a watch in need of service things will only get worse.
That is what I would do, and did some time ago. Best, A |

I know they advise service every 5 years but lot's off people in the know say that for a modern Rolex watch once every ten years is fine asuming every thing is in working order and timekeeping is still in cosc limits. If you worry about water tightness just have that tested at a good watch makers.
Just my 2cts off course but I'm certainly not alone in this. |
