Whelp, the Rolex I got my wife for our 1 year anniversary is useless lol

We were in the mall yesterday and as we walked past an AD I had her try on the Rolex DateJust I got her just to see what she thought. Well when she tried it on she said she didn't like it :(. So I guess I'll have to find another gift for her lol.

Yea, she liked the bigger face ones. I guess the 26,, was too small for her. She already has 2 Michelle's that are big faced so I thought the Rolex would be a nice watch for different occasions.

Doesn't surprise me at all , my wife inherited my late mothers 78274 and never liked it , I had her try on a 16610 ( as she wanted some big sports watch ) and she turned it down . Got her the 116598 Leopard .. she loves that one . Try one of them .

She loved the Leopard one but for our first anniversary I'm not about to spend the $50k they wanted . I'll just have to see if I can sell the one I purchased for her and buy a different one.

Ahh ok gotcha :). I can still imagine me being sent to the doghouse for this though. Somehow she will find out I bought her a Rolex and sold it to buy myself one. It's a good thing I have a comfortable couch!

Give her the watch ,you might find she really likes it once she knows you went out and got it especially her.

I thought about that and knowing my wife she would say she loves it and wear it all the time and never say anything to me. Even if I give it to her and ask her if she likes it or would like to buy something else she wouldn't say anything and tell me how much she loves it. Which is good for me since I get to feel all happy inside but then again I would rather her have something she really does love and want to wear.

Sorry to hear that. This is why I always show stuff to my fiancee before I decide to buy anything for her. Lesson learned.

My wife and I check with each other before a big purchase as a gift. Unless we are listening to each other talk about it all the time. Jewelry can be a difficult thing to give. People are rather particular about it, and it has to be just right. Sorry she didn't like it.

I have been trying to get my wife into a Rolex for 15 years. She doesnt like them. Too big and clunky she says. Oh well, more money for my watches.
