Can someone explain to me "periodic flushing"
of FPs that use "pigmented" inks (not cartridge) will require "flushing" and how is this done?
Thanks, Randy

Randy,
I flush my well used pens about every other fill. Just a habit, but has served me well over the years. It seems to keep the reservoir clean and rid of sediments. Just draw them full of clean warm (NOT HOT) water and flush them until they run reasonably clear.

For thorough cleaning, or for pens that have sat idle for a while, a dilute household ammonia solution works well to really clean out old "gunk", too.
