Opinions about U-Boat..

Hi all, I've seen a few watches from the U Boat store here in my country. I own a few Panerais, and the U-boat gives a different look for a big watch. The design is clean and simple.

However, I forgot to check out if the numbers are lumed, do they glow? Also.. When I turned the watch to look at its movement, sorry to say, but it doesn't look like an expensive watch's movement. I can't see anything special, not decorated, etc. It just doesn't look as nice (the mobement) as panerais.

So I'm asking for a second (or third or fourth) opinion here, as I may lack knowledge regarding this brand and watch.

Oh the one I'm interested in is the Classico 45 cas 2 chrono-date, with cream coloured dial with caramel calf strap.

Thanks!

I like them a lot. Very different. I wish I could pull off some of their 50 and 55mm designs, but I can't.

I do want a nice 43mm Flightdeck though. This would be fun as hell to wear out and about.

The 50/55mm designs are way too large for me. 45 is the most I'll go.. However, do you have any opinions regarding their movement, material used, etc?

Here's mine. It was my 1st major purchase for a watch. Its a 50mm and I've had it for 2 years and havent had any problems with it. They seem solid. I dont know much about the movement so cant comment on that.

Thanks Alphamale, I suppose that's the "FLIGHTDECK" version? And is that a custom strap or the strap came with it originally?

Yes its a 50mm flightdeck. The strap is custom as I have a panerai also which takes the same size 24mm strap. So I tend to play around with the straps I have.
