Daytona Future
What do you guys think about daytona future? Will it get any new change? Will Rolex put a date on it? And lastly, what do you guys think about Daytona in solid YG? Does it look nice?

IMO Daytona's future is now.

I dont know if it will get updated with a new bigger case or have the date included.
I like it the way it is - it has a great feel on the wrist and the dial is nicely balanced. I love the YG models as well - especially the Newman dial. There are a few guys on here that have them and I never tire of looking at those models. |

A date and a bezel that actually does something useful would be nice...

The Daytona got it's upgrade back in 2000,and the latest bracelet last year and a new White Diamond model at Basel last year... I don't really expect any changes for this very popular model this go-round..
Most rumors seem to think that it's time for the EXP II to get the face-lift, but I'm not so sure.. I do think that it's time for the YM and the EXP II to get a modern bracelet and clasp though... I think that they are the only ones left with the old stamped models.. (this ignores the obvious Sub changes expected)

I hope not, still want to add a 4130 to my collection. The one thing I would like is more options on dials in the SS models. I for one would like a pada dial or a retro Paul Newman dial. As for a date I have no problem with the non-date models. Any of you have to set dates today or tomorrow?

My feeling is that Rolex intend to expand the Daytona range - instead of revising the 11652X, I feel a Daytona Date model would sit exceptionally well alongside it. It makes sense from a business point of view, as well as increasing supplies of one of the world's most popular luxury watches
