Rolex deepSea 16660, Tag heuer Calibre 36 RS or Panerai PAM 00171?
Please help me choose which will be the best watch to obtain from the three listed below. I have not purchase any watch for the last 10 years after I obtain what I think are the ultimate in my watch collections but now I want to find one that is tough for daily use and good in resale value. For anyone that is curious of what are the last 2 watches that I purchased which ended my desire of buying another watch for 10+ years. The two are BlancPain 4276-3642A-55B and a hand me down Rolex president.
1. Rolex DeepSea 16660 2. Tag heuer Calibre 36 RS 3. Panerai PAM 00171 |

Let's see some pics of the collection!
If resale value is a concern, I'd lean away from Tag...unless you get a 60% discount out the door.

Welcome to TRF.
I will only comment on the Deep Sea, Have you seen one in person, if not then I would suggest that you do, while it is an awesome watch, it is very thick (18mm) so you may find it hard to live with as an every day watch. I would wait until after the Basil show to see what Rolex are going to realise before you make a final choice, as the new Steel Submariner may well fit the bill for you as a very nice every day watch. |

Since your last two were dress watches, the deepsea would balance your collection somewhat and definitely would have better resale value than your other choices. You can't go wrong with a Rolex!

You should definitely try those watches on before making a decision. The DeepSea is an enermous piece with a very thick case. It may or may not be suitable for everyday wear for you.
How about another option: 4) Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 45mm At least give it a try with both black and orange bezel |

Welcome.
Either the DS or 171 for me. The DS is such a great reference and the 171 is not one you see all the time. |

Welcome to TRF.
My first choice would be the DSSD. 2nd would be the 171. I would stay away from any TAG's. But that's just my opinion.

I always love Rolex and DeepSea seem very bold and young to me. And I always regard Rolex as the gold bar that I can always get some money out of it if I ever need to sell it in time of emergency. But still its hard to pick from these three cause I love them all. |
