Ever seen one of these?

My friend has this watch. FYI, it is my friends arm in the photo (not mine).

And I thought Panarai was oversized.

Your thoughts? Look silly?

It looks like the ankle bracelet Martha Stewart wore when she got out of the slammer and was under house arrest.

besides being rather butt ugly, what does that thing do, besides show the time and date?

Well half way through dinner, his watch starts ringing.

He unfolds it into a cell phone. After he was finished it went back on his wrist.

I don't see myself trading in my Rolex for one of those, but as a watch nut, the concept was pretty cool.

Hey, now that is pretty cool.

But it probably doesn't have PDA functions, so I wouldn't bother with it. Once they start putting PDA functions in that thing, I could be the first kid on my block to get one.

Once you said it's a cell phone, the first thing I thought of was Dick Tracy's wrist radio. See how the comics are ahead of their time?

His is an older model, he said they did not sell well so they stopped making them. But it is not much bigger than the cell phones here in Japan and the cell phones here have internet access and most recently TV reception too.

Would not be surprised if they could fit it in that little watch.

BTW, I think it did have a scheduale and address book function.

It has no taste or style (except bad). As for converting to a cell phone half way through dinner, that's just simply rude!

I agree that it's the height of bad manners to answer your cell phone in the middle of dinner. But you gotta admit, as ugly as it may be, it's kind of neat toy.

Rude? In most circumstances yes. But like I said, we are friends and when work calls, I can understand. Sometimes it suck to be in management.

As for it being ugly...uh...well did I mention it turns into a cell phone?

That works on so many levels.

Personally, I don't like it. Having to take the watch off and put it back on to answer a call is seems cumbersome, and it's so big I'd be challenged to wear it for a week without dinging it against a wall or somehting.

Who me, I don't know what you could possibly mean. That watch is only for a certain cell of society though.
