bought it at the end of Feb' & had the AD alter the bracelet, i wasn't happy with the clasp as the dealer had removed 2 links from the 6 o'clock side & left the clasp sitting unbalanced. i took it to St James Sq for them to alter & they kept it in for a week as the remaining screw on the 6 o/c side was over glued (certainly not loctite) & was heavily burred. they tried doing it for me whilst i waited but it wouldn't budge so it was left in warm / hot water overnight in an ultrasonic cleaner & the damaged screw replaced. arrived this morning via special delivery....no charge

Well thats a good result aways found St James very good with excellent customer service. Its a pity some ADs could not be the same but I will not mention them by name on open forum..

I could tell you a story and post pictures, regarding a service by a (what I always considered to be) well respected very large grey dealer in the UK, when it comes to service and the use of genuine Rolex parts (or not!).......I would love to...in fact I am attempting to compose a post in which I can vent my anger and frustration.....needless to say my problems have been fixed by Bexley and I am a happy camper once more....but not after a long and expensive runaround.....I am so pleased to hear you got good service in the UK....there are still "gooduns" around......

Glad you got your DS back.

Never ceases to amaze me how "right" the DS looks on the wrist in pics.

Looks great! After having that on your wrist after the initial purchase, how did you manage to live without it while it was undergoing repair?!

i took it along to the service center expecting it to be nothing more than a quick alteration in expert hands, sadly due to the glue overdose it had to be left...dropped it off last wednesday & rolex called me friday to say it was all done...imagine it was rushed through due to it being a new watch (24/2/10)

Good result mate ..
I have a tight link in mine that has had to be lubed twice by my local AD.
