Hi,
I'm wondering what type of MB (or other) pen I should be looking for with ink that dries real quick.

I find that even with most BP pen's, things always tend to get smudged because I am left handed so when I write across a page ink always gets all over the bottom of my last finger and smudges.

Maybe it's just the way I write..any lefties out there with the same problems?

Use Quink fountain pen ink, or a ballpoint pen. Or buy yourself a rocker-blotter and some blotting-paper.

Generally BP is the best since the ink is actually a paste rather than liquid. Not sure about a FP, but the technique you use may be the real determinate of your success.

I've got trouble pulling off 'normal' BP pen's as it is so Fountains are def. out of the question at the moment.

Is there any BP pen ink in particular to recommend? or will all of them give pretty much the same result?

Sometimes situations call me to have to write notes really fast and the the end of it all the notes are pretty smudged up. I mean, I've tried almost every brand of cheap BP pen out there from the stationary store.

I was just wondering if getting a more expensive one with a certain type of ink would at least lessen the amount of ink I get all over my notes and last finger.

I very very seriously doubt it. One reason why I've stopped using ballpoint pens is that an expensive one won't write any better than a cheap one, so spending more money on a ballpoint pen, to me, at least, is a waste of both time and money, since it won't produce any better results.

Deschen, for a cheap throw away pen for writing which will not smudge try buying and using the Pilot G-2 gel writers. They do a great job of writing without the expense of being a fine writing instrument.....

I have had good results with Noodlers 'feather'.

thanks guys, i think i have used the G-1 before and it was one of the better ones.
i haven't heard of a Noodlers 'feather' before so i'll keep a look out of it next time i'm at the stationary shop.
