MontBlanc Sale

I received an invitation from the MontBlanc store near me for a sale starting on March 13th and going through to March 25th. They will have selected pens on sale for from 30% to 50% off but I do not know about accessories. If you are interested and have a store in the area you may want to check it out!!!

Just a little update on the sale for those who might have a MontBlanc store in your area. Two of the FPs I'm looking at to buy are 40% off retail so if interested I would check it out!!!

Is this a generic email invite, or a more personalized one?

I didn't get one

I'm heading to Boston this weekend to look at watches and pens, I'll let you all know if the MB boutique is offering discounts this weekend to all.

Chris, if you goto Boston, try the boutique at Copley Place, 100 Huntingston Ave. I have been told that the manager there does know her stuff on MB pens.

Does anyone have insight into what kinds of MB pens or items are usually offered for the 30-50% off during the sale period?

X2, that's where I got my first one, the gold Boheme Doue, they were very patient and let me try numerous pens over a 1.5 hour period. Completely unexpected and wonderful experience.

I'll be there tomorrow for sure - that whole Copley plaza area is great, even the Tourneau store there is good - nice selection of A Lange, Patek, etc. I will try to get pictures to post.

From what I've found out -
1. don't expect the flagship products e.g. 149, Writer's edition, other limited editions would be on sale.
2. you can ring the boutique ahead and ask what is on sale. Since this is not an exclusive event, they should answer.
3. the sale also includes accessories usually (e.g. wallet, belts, watches etc).

I was in the Boston boutique and its will be there too. The nice sales person I talked to told me it was on the less popular size FPs (extra fine or extra broad, etc) and would be somewhat random based on pieces, but would include some RBs and BPs. Def no 149s. She also told me that if one bought the extra fine they do a no charge nib replacement as part of owning the pen.

I plan to check it out.

2careless, is correct, there will be items on sale throughout their whole line of products but they would not tell me everything that will be on sale and said to stop by this weekend!!!

I just came back from mont blanc. There were four large trays worth to select from. Cuff links, watches, and some leather goods were also part of the sale. I was surprised that most of the pens were 50% off. Most of them were fountain pens...mostly extra fine, medium, and broad nibs. Doesn't matter since you can change out the nibs at no cost but would have to wait a few weeks. The sales person asks me how I knew about the sale and I told them through "forums." Asks nicely and they will take a deposit and reserve the sale item for you. I scored four pens, one cuff links, and a pen wallet. Had to send out two of the pens to change out the nibs to fine which was what suited me. Thanks OP for sharing this!....even though my bank account hurts badly right now. Selections were broad...cheapest pen on sale was $280 while the most expensive one was $11,000 (yes, that is the sale price...retails for $18,000) LOL.

Those are cool pens, especially the Starwalker with the diamond snowcap!
Congratulations!
What ink are you going to fill them with?

Black. They had the black and blue mixed but it didnt do anything for me. I might get it later but as for now, I'm fine with the black.

I was at the Copley Boston MB boutique just now. Most of what is on sale are older models (none of the special editions or higher end pens), the place was packed. I'd say they are going to have a rather nice weekend with sales.

I could not find anything for me this time, but I'll go one more time in the morning.

They did have a very nice platinum money clip (which I use) but at $500 it seemed like $400 of that $500 was just for the MB name.

Very nice store and very friendly.

The entire Copley mall is jam packed, I'd say the recession is over by looking at the shopping bags here...

I went to Tourneau to look at A. Lange Sohne watches - my grail is the moonphase. But alas, it's Tourneau, so they can't be bothered talking with you. So I moved on. Perhaps tomorrow I'll give it a try if there's different folks working there.

Ross + Simon had a very nice selection of Rolex, a GV, Deepsea (man that thing is BIG), and lots of blingy Rolexes...

I'll get pix posted when I get home.

Howdy neighbor!!! The wife of a friend at work used to work for MB so I have to assume there's a store in the Cleveland area. I have a call in to him now and I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

My pal just called me back. There WAS a MB store at Beachwood Mall, but no longer. As far as he knows, there are no MB stores in Ohio.

Thanks for the info! I didn't think we had one in Cleveland. My local Rolex AD sells MB, but I don't think this sale is good at non-company owned stores.
