Mexican Jubilee
I know we have had this discussion on numerous occasions, and I have a "hencho" Rolex Jubilee band, but the ones I have seen were not set up like this...opinions Gentlemen..

Again with the Rolex design; interesting that it looks like one on a clasp made in Argentina supposedly for Rolex.

This is a pawn shop; I find they may be butt heads but can't afford to take in or sell crap.

455 are two tone end links per my parts book! I've never seen this version of a Mexican band before either.

Joske's was a Texan department store that had its bracelets built in Mexico under license from Rolex to the best of my knowledge.

You betcha ! That is a true TEXAS Joske's "Made in 'Ol Mexico" under license from Rolex watch band. Calling that a fungus is about kin to claiming a Rolex sub with a real Tiffany dial bogus because it says Tiffany on it. Fwiw, the seller has been in Denver since about the time my parents settled there right after dad finished medical school. I used to love going in there as a small child to look at all the shiny stuff in the display cases. Little did I know it's true worth.

OK this is odd; see http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=118455.
So this band is real even though the the Rolex logo is not like this. |

Earl, if you ever become a large, well known department store here in oil rich west central TX you can have your own watch bands made under license from Rolex. I want in on the IPO btw

This was declared a fake by "WatchOut" and it has the same Rolex logo as the department store "genuine" Rolex band. |

By now I'll bet Rolex has lost track of some of what it licensed to out side sources in the past. As I mentioned, the seller has been around in the Denver market since before I was born. Considering the size of the Hispanic market in CO and it's hidden wealth, heaven only knows what is floating around some of the market stalls in the old city area.

Rolex USA declared a band made in Argentina on my 1968 DD a fake. I have a feeling it was in fact licensed by Rolex in the 1960s. The watch has a Spanish day wheel and the band is 18k of very high quality. The serial number on the watch is intact; is there any way I can find out where and when the watch was sold? I'm betting a dollar to a doughnut it was sold in Argentina. I paid $120 for a written report and if I can prove the band is indeed a “Rolex” will hit the fan big time. |
