Rolex ? Tudor home run

Wow ! I want it. My watchmaker has a Mint one from the 70s, I drool over it when ever I visit his shop.

Best part is ... it doesn't have a cyclops.

apparently it looks almost identical to the original except for:

1.) no lug holes on the case
2.) no cyclops
3.) knurled bezel, crown and pushers
4.) slightly different bracelet

Early Game Score:

Tudor 1 (Home run)---------Rolex 0 (with a man on second base)

IMO Rolex could tie the score with another hit. The 3 new models are at best a Double.

If it is only going to be CHF4000 (that's Swiss francs, not Swiss $ btw) then i will be getting one.

Where are people seeing this price though? I saw it mentioned on the other thread on here but what is the source?

Home run, slam dunk and a hatrick for Tudor with this.

I think so.

Pretty sure if there is one watch to make money on this year, this will be it. Considering it won't be sold in the USA the demand will be huge from the few Tudor dealers there are in the ROW. People in the US in particular will end up paying a premium for it.

Absolutely. So far, Rolex, vintage Rolex, and Tudor fans have seemingly given the thumbs up to the Heritage Chrono. They will probably make them in sufficient numbers but no question these will be highly sought after, at least at first.
Might be a couple of years but that beauty will be on my wrist.

Great watch

I think I am getting more into Tudor. Any help on a good vintage model to pick up in the future?

Wondering what kind of movement this will have in it?? Is Tudor making in-house movements yet?

From another site "available at most ADs from june 2010. bond strap comes in the box with steel bracelet. bond strap's tang buckle is shaped like the tudor shield.

42mm diameter (excludes knurled crown).
rotatable 12 hour bezel.

not sure about the movement, but looks like it has a piggybacked DD module... so probably an ETA 29xx/28xx base."

Agreed. I doubt it is an in house movement at that price.

I'm still waiting for someone to wake me. Never in my wildest dreams did I think anything from Basel would interest me. Lately I've been moving more and more toward the vintage market.
Then, I wake to find Tudor has hit the jackpot. The case, the dial, and that bezel!!!!
Way to go Tudor.

Agreed, Dan.

Short of Rolex reintroducing the 6263 this is the best that I could have dreamed of.

I'm not prepared to pay a premium though, out of principal.

Well not too high a premium I guess.
