Another DateJust member checking in
WOW didnt even know there was a Rolex community like this.
When my Dad passed away he left me his 18kt DateJust (I believe its a 16238) w/ the 18kt Rolex presidential band. Im in my 30s and love the watch but its a little too flashy for me, it just doesnt look right on my arm like it did his. Right now its sitting in my safe and I dont wear it that much, maybe 2-3 times a month and to me a Rolex is meant to be worn! So I was doing some research trying to see what it was worth and came across this site. I dont know much about Rolex watches so I though Id ask here. I want to get a blue submariner, my Dad had that Rolex when I was growing up so thats the watch that brings back a lot of memories and not to mention when the sun would hit the blue . Do yall think it would be smart for me to sell my DateJust outright or trade it for the blue submariner? I dont really care about the year of the submariner just as long as its has the blue face / dial and the yellow gold & stainless steel band. Since yall are the Rolex experts do yall think my DateJust is worth more or less that a previously owned submariner? Id appreciate any help and I look forward to meeting some great people here and learning a lot because Im the definition of a Rolex noob so be easy with me. Here it is....what do yall think? |
