Price of Coke or Pepsi bezel from AD

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what is the cost of a pepsi or coke bezel if I have to ask my AD to order one from me.

Also, how much does it cost to AD. Is it 60% of retail price?

In the US if you can even buy a new insert you'll have to return the original. We just had a member buy a new insert and had the original returned, but that's rare.
I went to the UK [Rolex, St James] and they installed a black/ burgundy insert and handed back the pepsi. Cost was about $42.00 US.

I had a local jeweler (not a Rolex AD, but still a great jeweler) order me a black/burgundy...it cost $140, but the whole experience took no time at all and I still have my original Pepsi bezel too.

$42 is an excellent price. Would AD in US exchange one for this price if I return the old bezel?

Maybe. I've heard a few stories that they would only replace with the same color. Others have had better luck.

Hi

I just went to Rolex Service Center in NYC this monday (22nd March) and had them install a Pepsi Insert on my Coke GMTII. Total cost $75 + tax. AND i was able to persuade them to let me keep my original coke.

They did not want to do it in the begininng. They said they do trade in only. (new for old), but i insisted. In fact i used the excuse that a friend (ie fellow forum member) did it just recently and that i might want to swap back to coke in a few months and didnt think it was fair for me to have to conitinually buy new inserts each time. I think they thought that was a reasonable argument

Another member was also able to do the same thing in Chicago i believe

Give it a shot. Good luck.

PLUS they gave me that nice suede service pouch and cloth.

Faide,
Good for you.
When at Rolex St James I told the tech that I often switch between all 3 bezel inserts and both jubilee and oyster bracelets. He though it was a great idea and wondered why more people don't do the same.

You might just want to pick up the phone, they charge different prices. I get them for $90 including tax from my local AD. Another AD I have purchased them from would sell them for $60, but they did not have a watchmaker on staff.

I just rang St James = £22.50 + VAT for the bezel - no charge for fitting it.

Seems super cheap.

I rang rolex australia and they wanted Aus$ 100.00 for a swap, when I said what happens to the old bezel they said "OH WE KEEP IT" !

One moment I said: "I'm" the owner of that old bezel you can't take it away from me.

They said "YES" it could end up on E-Bay!

Beggars the question why the prices are so over the place in the US. $140 someone has got to be kidding.
