Look at the ROLEX text.

I'd post that question in the Watch Out section.

Absolutely, that's where this belongs. Awesome if it's real, very cool, but bad redone dial if you ask me.

Could be real. Do any of you know for sure that this was never produced as a p/t for the jap market? The japanese love explorers. Impossible to authenticate imo.

Rolex dial
Look at the back side. That is a authentic Rolex dial.

Heck, someone made dials for Saddam over in Iraq...Tiffany had some even Cartier, so the idea there is a japan dial is no sillier than Domino's Pizza...of course most of these dials were shopped out for the logo's...Pav has one that says "I Love My Comex"...still wish he would let me touch the box, but last time I ask he said the grease from the Dominos pizza would discolor everything, and then told me to wipe my chin.

I never said the face hadn't been to a plastic surgeon. I just said that what ever it's supposed to be, it was done on a real Rolex dial.

I know the seller has been around for quite a while and is considered solid. He has a website with many vintage watches.
As far as the dial goes, ?

That's what i thought. The only way to authenticate it would be to send it to Rolex and even then they might not have record of it or anyone there who remembers or is familiar with it. I'm assuming it is not in any reference books.
