Cant access forums from home...

I don't know what is going on and I was wondering if someone could help me....I can't get on the forums from my home computer and I have no idea why.

When I type in the webpage it takes forever to load then I get Internet Explorer cannot display page....the site works from my phone & laptop, but it doesn't work from my laptop when I use it at home, only works at the office.

Any ideas guys? (I tried clearing history, cookies etc)

So other websites work from home, just not this one?

And did you try it on more than one occasion?

Try rolexforums.com again, and then try ************ as the address. If that works, it's a DNS problem.

I have experienced the same problem, both at work and at home. More at home. I get the same error screen, but I can access TRF from my iPhone.

I clear my cashe, re boot the computer, verizon modem/router. That doesn't seem to help though.

You may have to pm a mod with your IP address, TRF has been under attack and sometimes they block certain IPs wiht problems.

Thanks for the tip.

My problem is I don't have a static IP address.

I think I will email a mod anyways. I am addicted to TRF like meth! LOL, it actually keeps me up at night too.

Bypass your router and that should fix it.

If you can't connect, go to www.whatismyip.com to get your public IP, then PM me with it and I'll see if it is blocked in the firewall.

Try enabling compatibility mode. It is the broken page icon next to the refresh button on the toolbar. Here’s a good resource from the IEBlog that talks about compatibility mode in detail if you’d like to learn more: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/200...lity-view.aspx

If that doesn’t work, run IE in No Add-ons Mode. Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) - If this fixes the issue, then go to Tools -> Manage Add-ons and enable the add-ons one by one to find which one was causing the problem.

You can also try resetting Internet Explorer's settings by going to Tools > Internet Options and then the "Advanced" tab, and click "Reset..."

If you’re still not having any luck, I recommend you reinstall IE8 on your system.

Let me know if this solves your problem.

Cheers,
Bryn
