Grüß Gott from Gloucester

Bought my first Tudor Submariner at Adak Island, Alaska in 1991. Wifey received her Champagne and Silver Day Date in Fairbanks in 1992, with diamonds added in an upgrade in 2004, and is due back any day from the RSC after servicing and bracelet replacement. Added my GMTII in Germany in 2001. Just found this forum on a rainy night here in Virginia!

I graduated from the Big Green in 1996 on the 20 year plan. Have been a defense contractor since 1999 in scenic places like Hohenfels, Mosul, Balad, Five Sided Basement, Fort Belvoir and Fort Monroe. Am now one of many at JFCOM. Fair number of other wearers as well. Was lucky to nab my GMTII in 2000, when Rolex dumped AAFES for insufficient sales. All PX Rolex's were consolidated at Ramstein or in Yokota, according to the manager I spoke with at the time and once they were gone, "auf wiede-bye bye"...couldn't pass up the opportunity to give my GMTII a good home. I was teaching a class in 2003 at Katterbach when a young trooperette asked me if it was a "Diesel"....guess my expression quickly let her know that it was a real timepiece.
