Favorite Datejust Dial
I am considering buying a TT Datejust and wonder if anyone care to share their opinion of the dial selection. I have always wanted a white dial with Arabic numerals. However, there is very little info on the web and I do not see it at all here. My ideal watch is the current TT everose with oyster band in concentric black dial, except in white. Does it exist? Anyone can give me aittle advise? Thank you!

Have you been to an AD?
See if you can get one to show you what is on offer. Go to a dealer that has several outlets, they will have a decent selection. Ring them first so the can prepare. One of my local AD's made the suggestion to me so they can do it. If they won't help then when it is time to buy you know where not to go. Good luck. Let us know how you get on. Most of the guys here prefer the Sports watches. But not all of us. I like the DJ. |

Congrats on the upcoming DJ purchase. You are right, the folks here are in the great majority sub, deep sea, GMT kinda folks. Wondered why myself too. Yeah, I am/was planning an upcoming DJ purchase (TT, jubilee, white roman) and THEN I began spending time here. Man, so now I'm like, hmmm, Deep Sea, TT Blue Sub, etc. CRAZY!! But, I think when I'm ready to pull the trigger in a month about, it will be the white dialed TT DJ. Anyway, good luck.

I'm a big fan of the roman dials, but other than that our tastes seem to differ greatly, so I'm not sure how much help I'd be. I don't care for the concentric or jubilee dials. I much prefer the solid colors. Mine is a rhodium roman dialed, SS/WG, with jubilee bracelet.
I agree that the focus here tends to be more on the sport side of the Rolex line up, but there are a lot of folks with dates, datejusts, day-dates, and other less sporty watches. I'm sure you'll love your new DJ. |

They make the white dial with YG Romans for the TT DJs...
What an awesome dial. The pictures really don't capture it.

Does the rare dial add value to the watch?
I like the Ivory Pyramid Roman dial as well, but have never seen one in metal. I can order one from the AD, with 20% off MSRP. I guess my next question is, does a rarer dial add value to the watch in the long run?

If the TT Datejust will be your only dress watch....with it's gold bezel & gold trim on bracelet...I'd suggest sticking w/ the classics...a white or champagne dial with indicies or Roman numerals as markers...just my 2 cents.

Not that it probably helps (they are discontinued), but my favorite DJ dial is the tapestry. Was always a big fan of the grey tapestry stick dial on the DJ/day-dates.

Ss dj
I had this dial changed to white with WG Romans....simply for ease to read it. I find it is the easiest to see under just about any lighting conditions
....and I really learned to like it a lot. Cheers
