I love the simplicity of vintage pieces... (JJ you'll like this)
and my simple vintage piece is... My 1964 Mido Multifort PowerWind. So simple movement... in-house 17 jewels, unadjusted, no date, 18,000bpH, no chronometer certification (but I don't need it). Simple and not busy dial. Silver with the Raised "MIDO" in cursive with the lovely "M". Silver hour markers. Comfy case, with horned lugs, with lug holes! A huge plexiglas... and a hidden crown! I wear this watch with either a Mesh Bracelet or a Black leather strap. Mesh for casual, Leather for formal. They don't make it like they used to. Oh well. Here are some pics of the movement! and of the watch!
Do you have a Simple vintage piece you'd like to share? Please do! This movement is the 917P. The 917P is a modified version with incabloc and some other things. The 917 is the bumper movement. |
