Im wondering if you are holding the pen too far down the barrel Victor, try holding it slightly higher to see if that helps.

Turn the page 15-25 degrees to the left.Your letters will have a more forward slant and your hand will not smear the words

Looks like your hand is about 90degrees to the pad. Try 45 ish....in other words the pen the base of your hand should be about an inch lower than your pen, not lined up with it. notice how my fingers are closer to my body than the body of the pen is.

Hi Victor. I agree with Daves suggestion!
I have my journal almost horizontal to my sitting position, just a few degrees off that, it looks like your writing up hill that way and it not only avoids the problems your having but it also really helps cursive writing look even nicer. In my experience fountain pens seem to work better with the paper at such an angle as well, it seems easier to find the nibs sweet spot and ease of flow! Hope that helps and good luck, let us know how you get on ![]() |

I just took this quick shot to show you what I mean. I tried to place the camera right in the middle of me at stomach level (the first time my stomach has ever been described as level

![]() Original to the pen so it has been flexing for 84 years and still looks pretty much like it did when it left the factory! Fountain pens never cease to amaze me with their longevity. I hope I work as well as this pen when I am 84 ![]() |
