I like it in leather strap but some of my friends say that you will lose a lot when you ate selling it but ss daytona will get you yr money back when ever you sell it, but at this price I think I am getting the 116518 at almost half the price already!!!

I'd stick with the SS too as not a far of leather straps. Now if it was a gold bracelet that would be worth it...more bucks though.

If it includes the solid gold bracelet as well then yes. I don't like the leather personally.

This is a personal preference...

Some people like one, and some like the other.......... It becomes a pretty good price for a Gold Daytona though.........

Would I swap a £6300 Daytona for a £13,000 Daytona? (Plus a handful of cash)

Hype for class?

Yes I would.

so true. that is why it's hard to offer advice. i guess op has to decide when he compares both watches side by side.

I know this is blasphemy on this discussion board, but I very much prefer my 116518 to either of my SS Daytonas. It's just one of the classiest looking watches around and the leather strap is very comfortable. Sure, I don't wear it while exercising on hot humid days or for swims in the ocean, but it works for just about every other situation or occasion.
