Rolex Sub w/ questionable warranty card

The warranty card looks questionable. I've never seen a warranty card come sealed in plastic. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...id=p2759.l1259

Any thoughts on if this is a fake?

Could be European warranty card. The fact that it is a Z99 and has engraved rehaut means that the watch has a crucial element correct. Don't quote me.

The card is non-US, but looks legit.

Do Rolex's overseas have different warranties than watches sold in the North America?

Encased in plastic? It's just in a zip-lock/push-seal type bag imo. Nothing to worry about, watch is fine.

The EU warranty card is exactly the same as the one you get in the US.

This one looks to be laminated, maybe to better keep the stamp from the AD.

IMHO that watch looks perfectly fine.

Hong Kong

The country code is 888 , that means Hong Kong.

No, not all the cards are the same, I believe the dials are not mentioned on every card.
I've seen cards with dial info and without.

My first thought is ...........

psu10756, why would you not buy the watch from one of our resellers on the forum ? There are always t/t blue subs going up for sale on the forum.

Correct ! US cards will mention dial color and bracelet and have no client number .. as they have their proper US style card .( text in english )
888 is indeed HK and they use the same style a European cards ( the text is in french )
Never seen the plastic wrapping on original cards . The color does not look right to me , looks like B&W photocopy folded over to hide the rest of the numbers .
Watch looks Ok at first glance

MikeyTX,

I'm relatively new to the forum. I've been looking at for sale items in the TRF section. I've communcated with some sellers when they post Two-tone Subs for sale. I've not given up on the option. Regardless, your feedback on my question was my goal with this post, it would be appreciated.

The watch itself looks pristine. The seller has gone to great lengths to insure quality photos. That is not something the average fraudster would risk. As for the warranty card, it seems that someone has simply encased it in plastic wrap for protection sake or, the selling AD may have used a laminate of some kind after the card was filled out so as to prevent modification at some point in the future. As some models may sit in stock for years, my guess would be the latter option.

If your location is the home of one of our better H-D m/c rallies, and as the seller is as well in SC, Have you inquired of him if he would meet at an AD to allow inspection of the watch ?
