5513 or 14060
I am thinking of getting a ND and wondering the plus and minus of vintage 5513 vs newish 14060 or 14060m? Any help would be great.

Personally, I would go with the 5513....I love vintage.

Personal choice..
The 14060 gives you a faster beat movement and sapphire crystal........ The 5513 gives you the vintage warmth........ Depends on which comes along that is the best example for price.. ![]()

Pricing, condition, and era would be the decision makers for me.
If a matt dial, the 5513 all day long. If it were a gloss dial I'd have to think 14060 given the more modern approach and the question of RSC service down the road. ![]() |

14060 is better for everyday use. The plastic will scratch really easy.

I think Mike summed it up well. Consider price and condition and go from there.

Meters first 5513 with a Matte dial NO QUESTION would be be my 1st pick. However, you will pay a premium. My 2nd choice would be a D or Z-serial NON-COSC 14060M

If you're going to use it as an everyday watch, I'd say 14060M, with the updated mov't. If you plan on using your F serial SD most of the time, go with the 5513.

Matte dial and no WG surrounds is the winner for me... so I would go for an early 5513.

Since you already have the ultimate beater (SD 16600) I would go for the 5513 if it has painted index's!
Then you hava a really good mix of vintage and modern! /masterkiller
