should I polish it? I as going to send it in for service later this summer and do not know if I should polish it? I would love to leave it as it is for a while.

I’m not so sure that I would polish it. Generally, macro photos make everything appear larger than life. That being the case (pun intended), your Sub probably looks less worn in the metal.

I was understanding that subs are larger than SD at least in Diameter! plus SD have a thicker bezel but smaller crystal.
