Welcome to TRF, buddy.

Simple question: Do you like the look of 18K GOLD? If you've answered YES, then go for the TT version.

Good luck - JJ

It shouldn't be frustrating..

Every country and locale has it's own cultures and values.... in one part of the country the Stainless Steel would be the watch to get so folks can "fit in". In other areas, a SS watch would be considered lowly and at least a TT would be the right ticket...

Personally, I like the looks of the TT Black Sub as Rolex best looking model ever............. But I hardly every wear one if the ocassion and make-up isn't right...........

Agreed!!! The OP is from Malaysia...........and in Asian countries GOLD is simply loved and adorned everywhere. TT would probably be the way to go with the Asian culture.

I've always love the black+gold combo but most of my friends complained that the yellow gold+steel bracelet doesn't match or look out of place. I've done lots of reading in the "Rolex General Discussion" and i find that most of the members thinks that SS is the way to go, more popular and more in demand(higher resale value)...so I'm torn between the two :/

I'll say it again.............if you like GOLD and apparently you do.........then go for it. Black and GOLD is an awesome combination.......none better!!

The new Ceramic SUB looks far better in BLACK/GOLD than its BLUE/GOLD counterpart.

Go with what YOU like........not what others think or say!!

i love the TT subs BUT,
what are you using it for? if its going to be a daily wearer or "beater" get the steel model as it is a classic and will far out live and gold or tt model.. resale is also better on the steel models..
anyways the TT bluesy is awsome, if you are going to wear it here and there i would go for the TT.. but with either you can't go wrong.. but the steel does have a little advantage over the TT imho

I have to agree, IMHO, the blue is very striking "in the metal".

oh by the way, here are the prices of sub in my country:

$6,000 for old sub
$7,250 for new sub
$9,000 for sub tt

so should i wait for new sub to come out first then only compare the design with sub tt at the shop? is there any chances that price of sub tt might increase or decrease when new sub arrives?

Every single Rolex is made to be worn daily. Doesn't matter what it's made out of.

I would like to see a TT head with a SS bracelet. If not, the SS is much more versatile.

yea but wear it everyday for 10 years and see which one looks better.... SS will win everytime. A SS sub is for ever.. it can withstand 50 years of stretch and abuse... Gold being it is much softer than steel cannot withstand abuse like steel can.. this is all 101 common sense stuff... yes you can wear a TT everyday and it is very strong, but that does not mean a TT rolex will out live an all steel one......

My advice would be to wait...for sure. Compare the two w=once the new SS sub is out..also gives you a chance to look at the new LV
make an informed decision is a few months

I had one of these on my wrist a few weeks ago. That is a fine, fine time piece!
Heavy and silky smooth

Try them both on your wrist a few times...you'll know if you want a TT. Don't worry about wearing it every day....just enjoy it every day!

I was wondering if 10 years down the road when i need to change the yellow gold+steel bracelet due to daily wear and tear, will it cost alot?

im 26 but TT attracts me alot haha. blame the gold+black combo. i find that SS is kinda pale and lack of color. gold+black still stands out more. i wish rolex made the bracelet black in color so that it match the overall design. nothing is perfect anyway :/
