What watch was your partner wearing when you met?
I thought this could be an interesting thread....
I meet my now wife in 2005. I was wearing a Steel Cartier Basculante and she was wearing a Tag 2000 Two tone. Both watches have long been sold/traded. Have you ever dated a lady because of the watch she was wearing? |

Interesting, I have not dated anyone because of their watch, When I met my fiance in highshool, I probably was not wearing a watch, and if she was, I wasn't paying attention to it(I think I can say that now, lol) I can say she quickly took over a pulsar I had bought in 8th grade, it is solar powered and titanium, she still has it and man did I think I was cool when I went to school wearing that thing in middle school
I'm curious to see what others have to say |

we are all superficial to an some extent, whether its beauty, kind of car, jobs, clothes, etc, these are all superficial things that can be attractive when you first meet but they will not last

I on the other hand was a bit more detail oriented. 23 years ago 1665 Sea Dweller on my wrist and TT lady Datejust with Jubilee on her wrist. She bought expensive dinner.

I met my wife, Maria, in Spain in 2003, on the Camino de Santiago.
She was wearing a Calvin Klein sports watch but at home her everyday watch was a ladies 18K/SS Cartier Santos. I was wearing a Timex Expedition on that trip but at home, if I remember correctly, I had a couple of Rolexes, a 18K/SS DJ and a Sub Date. |

15 years ago - She had a black Swatch. I would have been sporting Omega Seamaster Pro (pre-Bond) or Seamaster 120.
She pretty soon ended up getting a Zenith as a little pressie from moi. |

Who could remember so long ago- 1963, freshman in college. I agree with JJ- I wasn't looking at her wrist, but I do remeber the pink sweater. I don't believe she had a watch then- her first watch was a 14k Hamilton manual wind that I got her when we got engaged. She still has it. Wish she still had the pink sweater.

Me: SS Rolex Air-King. College graduation present. Alas, no longer with me (stolen).
She: Gucci TT (SS/YG) blue face. Still has it. It's being refurbished to be a gift for our niece's confirmation. Wife currently wears the Baume & Mercier (Xmas 2004 gift), but I'm pushing a Rolex. |

Hubby was wearing a Citizen that was essentially a copy of a Movado (museum dial, black leather strap).....so glad that's gone!!!!
Today he sports a Rolex Sub Date (like mine!) and also has an Omega Aqua Terra Chrono. |
