I am telling you guys now, if something "happens" to Rudy....this is #1 on my list of things to buy!
This car is my definition of "LUST"! It's so bad, I have a 1:32 scale model in blue that matches my Viper.

When you listen to Porsche USA's tv commercials you'll find that they don't know how to pronounce the name of the car they are selling.

They call it Porscha with an a ending.

The right pronounciation is Porsche with an e ending.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The correct pronunciation does sound like por-sha but its completely acceptable if pronounced porsh.

Just like Bayer aspirin. Do you go to your pharmacy and ask for bye-ya? Probably not, because we know it as bay-er

I can't argue that...

But you have to keep in mind that I say "y'all"... and use it in the singular and/or plural. (as in: "See y'all later" regardless of the number of people being addressed)

So to me.... it's "car".

Luckily, the corporate geniuses at Porsche made things easier for us....Today, just call it a "fast Volkswagen" or a "GTI on steroids".

Drives me nuts, to the point where I have stoped correcting people... its pointless. They say... "its short for "Porsh-"e""... No its not Chevy is short for Chevrolet, Lambo is short for Lamborghini... your just saying Porsh-e wrong.

Kind of like Coupe. Its pronounced Coup-e, not coup. I mean how to you pronounce toupe??? Toup? dont think so

I always thought Porsh was short for Por-sha too. I guess it's just a really prevalent mispronunciation.

When you guys are spelling phonetically, are you guys implying that the 'e' in Porsche is porsh-ee?

Porsche is german and has an 'eh' sound like bed.
Coupe or toupe which are both of French origin. Both have an 'ay' sound

Coupe= Coo-pay
Toupe= Too-pay
Porsche= Por-sha (actually more like porsh-eh)
