Casio Pathfinder

Anyone wear the Casio Pathfinder?

My former troop just returned from 9 months in Afghanistan and had one on. I asked about it and sheesh, it has all kinds of bells and whistles. It has atomic timing which automatically re-sets every night, so the time keeping is as good as it comes. It is solar powered and could run approximately 5 months on zero light, but with adequate sunlight or inside light you'll never need another battery. It has a compass, all kinds of timers, timezones, predicts the tide (not sure why one would need that)...just endless gadgets. Plus, it is a solid watch, but light because his is made of Titanium. It looks pretty cool too.

I'm seriously itching for one. It will definitely be the watch I have for my next deployment!

I'd get it !
Sounds like a very interesting watch ! I've never seen one in person, but I've also never heard of one going down in the field.
Sounds like a very reliable and yet handy everyday watch !!

I've heard of the SUUNTO watches being made w/ the same types of gadgets, etc...but I've heard horror stories about them as well. Seems as though the Pathfinder is the way to go for a workhorse, deployment watch. You change into the Submariner once you're back in tent city smoking cigars. ;)
