Ulysse Nardin Black Ocean

I don’t see too much Ulysse Nardin love around here. What is the forums overall feel on this brand? I know they are pretty solid on some of their higher end complications. They have some pieces that I really like in particular the Black Ocean pictured below. It is limited to 1846 pieces and is DLC black (Diamond Like Carbon, I really want a black watch). What are your guys thoughts on this watch and UN in general? I have an opportunity to get this at an amazing price, and since a PAM 292 for example is far harder to come across and is higher price wise, I think this would be a great buy.

The day I dive in Baracuda infested waters with this watch or any watch for that matter is the day I will no longer be a Rolexforum member, not sure if I'd come back alive.

I love UN watches, this one is awesome...I'd also love one of their complications which are gorgeous but would also be very happy with a marine chronograph

Love UN pieces, had a piece from their marine collection, really a nice piece, joy to wear. Traded it for a Sub though, still miss the UN.

UN marine series are absolutely top notch quality pieces. Ive been around them quite a bit, and they are very worth the price. The UN brand has a unique style and it stays true to the marine heritage. I would highly recommend that watch, It is actually high on my list of favorites.

Absolutely buy this watch. 1. It is cool 2. It is a UN, which is a high end watch brand and has made some superb watches (including the Freak, which is one of my far too expensive grails). 3. See 1 and 2.

Great watch and if it is at a great price buy it!

It seems to me UN has gone too far in the "big and blingy" direction, but that's just a matter of personal taste. As a watchmaker UN is solid.

Great watch. I have the maxi marine diver with strap and bracelet. Love it. Their customer service is top notch also. Unique look, great 43mm size.
