Just Bought My First Rolex and Need a Recommendation

I just purchased my first Rolex (albeit used). It's a Men's Rolex Datejust Watch 16203. So far it's been great. I would like to get it appraised, and have an extra link added to it. However, it has an aftermarket diamond bezel, so I don't believe I can take it a Rolex Service Center (I live in New York, so there is one a few blocks away). Is that correct?

Assuming, I can't take it directly to Rolex, can anyone else recommend a jeweler in New York City that will add a link and appraise it? Thank you so much for your help.

I'm not from NY so can't help you with identifying a jeweller but you should be able to buy the link and install it yourself. It's not hard. You should also be able to get an appraisal from any reputable jeweller. You are correct about Rolex not touching any watch that has been modified. Good Luck.

getting link

Any Auth. Dealer would most likely be willing to order the link for you, it's no skin off their nose if you have an aftermarket bezel and $$$ in their pocket getting you the link. They would probably even put it in for you.

Check with Wempe on 5th Ave (55th).
They are usually very friendly and helpful.

Good luck.

Cheers,
Joe

You didn't happen to buy this from ebay or one of those online shops who add those aftermarket diamond dials to old rolexes did you?
