I don't brush the center links of my TT watches, although I do brush all my SS models...

The gold is too soft to really hold a brushed finish the way steel does...... it burnishes and even shines up a bit just by being worn - like any fine gold jewelry does.

I don't really polish gold links either, but they never get scratched up the way brushed links do either because most of the wear on a brushed finish is the smoothing, or polishing of the brushed striations... So, my gold always has the fine micro scratches along the length....... but you can't really see it unles you look very, very close...

When I was in Vegas, looking at the Wynn & co collection, there was a Vacheron 18k YG brushed and an AP with brushed finish.

I have to say....Gorgeous!!

Of Course I would never do this to any of my TT or 18K ROLEX models, but there is alot to be said for the brushed look...

The one thing about the Polished gold is that it can look dark or black when reflecting against a dark color ( black shirt/wall etc)...the brushed surface always glows!

Again, like Larry says...how it looks in the showcase, and how it looks after a few months of wear can be two very different things

Did you ever muster up the courage to brush your gold center links??

Thinking about getting a TT Sub C blue (or TT gmt ii) as I have the SS version and i'm itching for a TT.. But I'm thinking about the brushed gold too, I think it will be more my style, would love to see a finished version though :/

Depends on the rest of the watch.

MY DJ has a polished domed bezel and to me the PCLs really look good with it.
