Rolex wardrobe mistake Live & Let Die

They showed 'Live and Let Die' on free to air TV Saturday night (I don't have cable TV ).

Anyway, I don't know if my eyes deceived me but Roger Moore had on a 5512 Sub which did some quite amazing things such as becoming a band saw and a super electro-magnet.

Anyway his watch had an Oyster bracelet in all scenes except the speedboat scene when for some reason it seemed to quite surprisingly transition to a Jubilee bracelet and then transition back to an Oyster bracelet for the following scene.

It was quite funny when James Bond was asked by a bad guy to tell the bad guy if the serial number read out from the back of the watch was true or false as everyone knows there isn't a serial number on the caseback of a Submariner

That's interesting! I should rewatch these old flicks now that I have some knowledge of Rolex. I definitely need to get that Sub with a bandsaw!

BTW, it's nice to know that someone else in the universe doesn't have cable. I cut the cord 6 months ago and really find that it's no big deal. I spend too much time surfing watch forums to really miss it.

That was a cool prop watch, I read about it in one of my Rolex books.

Steve,
Roger was the first Bond to see the merits of both the jubilee and oyster bracelets. Wat ahead of his time.
The case back serial number is unforgivable though.
