Washington DC report...a pictorial

Hello out there...

I just got back from your nation's capital...

What an amazing City!

I'd like to thank TRF member Iadbound for his "guide to DC"

I couldn't help but be impressed, and a bit envious at the degree of national pride that really pulsed throughout the city... something in which Canada is sometimes a bit deficient.

Anyway...here are some self indulgent photo highlights...

starting the morning with the breakfast of champions...
I resisted the urge to bring the Presidential to DC..it just seemed cliche...
I think the TT Daytona was a good choice..

Who says you can't wear a sports watch with a suit??!..
This doesn't look out of place to me...

The White house was very impressive in 'person'

Yes... I did think it looked like a giant Phalus...

THe capital building...Nothing on Parliament hill can compete with this...

I just liked this photo...

The Lincoln Memorial...Impressive..but I have to admit it really did seem like Lincoln had been somehow deified..this would not have had any different impact if it were a Statue of Zeus...

I have to admit...I got chills imagining all the people around and IN this pool when some of the greatest speakers on earth addressed the crowds...

This was...shamefully...one of the best sites for me...

I'm not american, but by the end of the weekend...I felt that this was a shot that I couldn't resist getting...

Anyway...It was a great little getaway. There are a ton of photos that I won't bore you with, but overall a great city, great food, sites, atmosphere...
And actually one of the only places we've visited that I didn't feel the need to seek out a watch store!
Few cities can boast that!!

If you are into asian/sushi...There is an incredible place called SEI an asian fusion/trendy spot right down the street from the Verizon centre...

Most amazing Sushi we have ever had...
and it has a lounge area as well, and generous 4 oz martinis...

I was there back in Feb. My clients took me to some French restaurant. Let me tell you, everywhere I looked....Rolex! I was in heaven. A guy next table over was sporting out a DJII. Another guy a few tables down sporting out a ExpII. I had my GMTIIc at the time. I felt right at home.
I'll be taking my Daytona this time around.

That's funny, I live in DC, and sometimes I fantasize about getting the hell out to some nice small quiet town in Canada. Yes, lots of TT datejusts here.
