3rd times the deepest charm...

Well I owned a coke gmt for about 1 1/2 years and it just felt too small so out it went in favour of a ss gmt IIc which I thought the supercase would help. I was wrong it still wasn't big enough for my tastes.

I loved the size/presence of my Panerai gmt 88 and I needed something equal to that from Rolex.

Only 4 months of ownership the gmt IIc went in favour of this bottomless deep beast:

just a few quick pics as I just picked it up today.

I have read many owner's reviews of this masterpiece and one thing rings true with each review. Almost all say this is my fav watch in my collection and this one will stay with me forever.

I can certainly agree, this baby will stay with me for life. The sheer size, presence, fish bowl effect crystal that reminds me of panerai, ceramic bezel and that amazing bracelet. Pics do not do it justice, try one on and make your decision.

Thank you Rolex for creating this piece and thanks to kayaker21 aka Paul for another flawless deal.

Andy

Isn't the DS an amazing timepiece or what?

I'm nearly breathless everytime I look at her.

Life for me, from a watch perspective anyway, doesn't get any better that the DS!!

Congrat and ENJOY!

congrates on the new piece.

Not sure if its the camera angle... It looked abit too large for your wrist?

Was deciding between a DSSD and a GMTIIC - the GMTIIC was a much better fit for my 7.25" wrist.

Loved the DSSD though. That thing is a masterpiece.
Congrats again :-)

Yeah my general rule of thumb is that if the lugs go over it's too big, from the camera angle in the first pic the lugs appear to protrude over the edge of his wrist. But each to his own I guess! I wish my wrists were big enough, or that I didn't have such strict rules for myself, to wear a BP!

Congrats! FYI, my DSSD lasted 6+ months, I simply found it too heavy and thick for a everyday watch.

I left the Deepsea and now have the Sub LV but if you are obsessed with over engineering, the amazing Glidelock Clasp, and the just perfect domed sapphire crystal will amaze you time after time after time.

You will never wake up wondering if the Deepsea is up to whatever challenging activity you are about to take on. It is truly an adventurers watch! Wear it in good health.

Yes, I'm in total wonderment of all the superb attributes of the DS. It's truly a timepiece of great distinction and unique character and a fitting addition to the amazing Rolex sports watch lineup. I feel priviledged and fortunate to own one indeed. BEST REGARDS
