What is your friend asking, these pieces can easily command five figure pricing depending on condition.

I'll defer to the vintage experts here on TRF, but if this is a genuine 6263 with or without paperwork, $7K is a steal for that watch. Is you friend the original owner, and does he/she have any original documentation/box that is included?

At that price could be too good to be true, and even at that price. I would want it authenticated by Rolex before I parted with any cash dont look right to me..

It sounds very expensive for a picture, I can sell you the same picture for $100

If that is genuine, it should be at least double of that price. Tell your friend I'll buy it from him.

4 times the price to 7,000. Which could very well be true if everything checks out on this watch.

Personally I'd feel bad about ripping off your friend, he should sell it to a trader/collector and get $25,000 - $35,000 for it. You should get $5,000 for helping him sell it! :-)

The value of the 6263 offered to you, could be worth 4 times the asking price, but again I defer to the experts who will chime in sooner or later.

The top pic looks good, a "Mayer" dial if I'm not mistaken with it's own specific set of arguments amongst collectors.

The second pic is of a fake (dial certainly) in my opinion.

I am not the ultimate expert by such a long way but the dial looks very wrong and the price has got a guilty conscience.

What specifically do you find incorrect about the dial/pushers?

The face looks wrong. If this was a real Paul Newman they fetch a lot more. Last Christie's auction one went for $86,500 (without box or papers). The fact he wants it for $7000 should ring alarm bells.

What a friend! It is a fake. Look at the bezel the 110 marker is wrong. The number "1" in 110 are too far apart.
