UK GV Availability
was wandering round Manchester today - Watches of Switzerland is shut till end August as they are completely refurbishing it - hopefully they will refurbish the stuck up staff ..... anyway, the other 2 AD's in central Manchester (mappin & webb and David Robinson) both had GV's in the window and a pretty good stock of the other SS sports models.

Manchester is a good place to shop for Rolex. Plenty of choice, as opposed to my hometown of Blackpool which has one stuck up AD with all the ambiance of a funeral parlour.
I know from talking to other owners that this particular dealer regularly loses business, not on price, but on their patronising attitude. Bought my blue sub from them and it killed me to do it... |

We've had one in for quite some time as well. Interest has noticably dropped in it

The other two belong to a group and not much haggling possible. I am soon relocating to the UK and I will assist all of my fellow TRF members there - get any Rolex they want with a respectable discount. ...some of you believe that paying full retail is the correct thing to do ! NOT SO when the retail price is set at an UNETHICAL high profit margin like....10 times the production cost ?? About the stuck-up staff, please remember that if they had any back-bone they would have had their own jewelry (jewellery) business so they are upset YOU can afford to pay 5 grand for a watch... All in all in a few months you will be able to see me and have a coffee with me daily (almost) in the Hatton Garden area (an announcement will be made). Also on Saturdays lunch in Portobello with the best hand made hand delivered sushi, tempoura, sashimi, onigiri, even yakizakana (if you pre order) by Keiko-san herself. Ya all be good now... |
