Diamonds hurt or helping watch value?

Hi all,

A friend of mine is looking to sell his early 90s TT Date Just. He told me that the hour markers were replaced with diamonds and asked how much it would be worth. I know subs really well but have no idea what the market is for the datejust (especially with diamonds on the dial).

Would the diamonds hurt or help the resale value? What are your estimates on value assuming its in good condition? I dont have photos of the watch yet but will probably get some next week (i agreed to sell it for him).

Thanks in advance for your input!

G
