Does RSC Warranty cover...?

guys,

My EXP II is still under the RSC warranty of 2 years and I was wondering if the black ink on the 3 o'clock position being the number "6" on the bezel has come off, well part of it, will rolex do something about it?

Or, will I have to suck it up?

That depends whether it is due to accidental damage or if it is due to a fault with manufacture. If its come off due to damage then you will probably have to pay for it.

how would I know if it's due to manufacturer's problem or personal damage? I mean I did not even scratch it nor did I even bump it onto any place. I think that due to time, it came off.

I heard that Rolex does not paint the black ink on it again. The only thing they'll do is replace the bezel. I wonder if they'll do so in my case?

Only thing you can do at this point is send it into the RSC. Or maybe call them first.

If there isnt any visual damage then I would think that the RSC would look at it for you. Maybe worth checking with your local AD, first if they know their stuff that is!

Keep us posted. It would be interesting to know since I have doubts that the bezel can be changed like those rotatable bezels in other models.

Please could you post a pic? Although... I think this will be something only your RSC can answer...

They'll probably change the bezel. It's not cost-prohibitive.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

I do not think that the RSC is going to replace a bezel because some of the paint has chipped out of one of the numbers after almost 2 years..........

The warranty does not cover reasonable wear on the cosmetics, so I suppose somebody would need to define "reasonable wear" vs. a "manufacturing defect"
