Predictions for Baselworld 2011 anyone?
Do we think we'll see a Pepsi GMT2C or a Maxi sized Daytona or something else? What do you guys think?

If anything at all, it could be the awaited new Explorer II with the orange writing and hand, that was supposed to come out at Basel 2010. If they do release this it will be the only watch, as Rolex are notorious for dragging new watches out for release. Does anyone know if they have ever released two new models in one year ? I think a new Pepsi is out of the question, they killed that when they went over to Ceramic. Not one of Rolex great decisions IMO. They should have upgraded the GMT as it is now with the maxi dial etc, but kept the Aluminium Bezel in Pepsi,Coke & Black.

Rolex released 3 models in 2010:
Sub-C LN Sub-C LV Explorer 39mm I would really love to see a new ExpII released next year and a pepsi GMTIIC would be cool also. |

Explorer II is highly likely, I wouldn't be surprised if the Yacht-Master was tweaked too. Furthermore, it would make sense for the ND Sub to be looked at

i think im right in saying (bar cillini) the only models not avalible in ss is the dd and ym2, i know they will never make a dd in ss but maybe in tt. I would like 2 c a ym2 in ss! I also believe that the explorers are the only non prescious metals watches made by rolex today so maybe a gold explorer! As for the pepsi gmt a interview conducted by another forum moderator with the ceo of rolex that the pepsi was still far away due to the red ceramic being hard to manufacture which is sad would love a pepsi ceramic

Sub no date, all new upgrades No Pepsi GMT just yet- that will take a few more years. New DJ faces as usual. New Cellini models, new Tudors. BUT something new and unexpected- maybe a 39mm Turn-O-Graph, or a Milgauss with a new dial color combo? |

I am still not convinced the Explorer II pics floating around were real.
The Day-Date will NEVER be in anything but precious metals, no SS or TT. I bet they figure out how to make a two color ceramic bezel for the GMT. -Eddie

Just look at last year...two new Subs, expy I and some dials...whoo hoo!
next year...maybe Expy II and sone new dials. GMTIIC is still ramping. Pepsis and cokes are a long way off - if ever...IMHO |

I predict at least one person here will be disappointed with 2011's offerings.

The glued-on cyclops will be replaced with a Fresnel lens machined into the inner
surface of the crystal. No more lumpy-bumpy crystals for Rolex.

Well if we're dreaming here's what I would buy the second I saw any of these:
A leopard/zeebra/mink Milgauss with date An explorer II with a giant orange GMT hand sort of a retro/homage A GMT/Submariner hybrid with a regular elapsed time coin-edged bezel and the 24 hour markers on the dials face. SS Yacht Master II
