Icon14 PAM 341 Radiomir Egiziano and Panerai BHB

I happened to tag along with my bud who was picking this up for his uncle overseas. He was gracious enough to let me take photos and fondle this BEAST.

I have to say, the 341 looks really good in person. Love the historically correct piece and the construction. Very impressive but just not pratical for everday and definately not for me at 6.5" wrist.

Here is the bad boy served up by our awesome Chad! Another interesting perspective on this BOX.

I have to say, the 341 looks really good in the metal and plexi is great! Just awesome piece, too bad its too big for me.

292j, 341 and 312

My attempt at being California Govenor Arnold with his 341 = FAIL!

Chad had this beauty in the back. PAM 323 10day GMT. An awesome piece! Came real close with putting the card down on this one. The circular PR works! The case is a bit beefier due to the 10 day auto movement.

THANKS again to Chad and staff (Tanya, Marcel) at the BHB!
My 312 had to go in for some service work and will return in 6-8 weeks. Another VISIT!

its an 2009 Special Edition..originally slated to be 300 pieces..then upped to 600 and finally settled at 500 world wide...MSRP $29,000
its really a Homage to the Vintage Egiziano originally made for the Egyptian military...
60mm of titanium history...google is your friend

It is 60mm, and an exact reproduction of the 1956 Panerai GPF 2/56 (the “Big Egiziano”) made for the Egyptian Navy.

Has Richemont been taken over by the Chinese and now only copy instead of R & D and Design anything? Is there no imagination left at Richemont?

Hahahaha Robert...i dunno why too, but i think it's because the history of it... i think most paneristi prefers the vintage pams rather the modern model.... it's the DNA.... now if they can't produce new DNA, better copy the previous one LOL

It's true and who was the brillant one that said let's copy the 60mm Big Egiziano so we can charge more money for it? I mean damn, it just looks rediculous on just about anyone's wrist. Why not reproduce the smaller version in a 44mm or 47mm version and charge 23,900 USD and produce 700 pieces and you would have a watch that some would die to own and wear whereas this thing is just dumb being that BIG. And the more the hypothetical smaller version (44 or 47mm) is worn in public the more they are lusted after.

As for history, it is history that Richemont was not invovled in and just barely own legally. It is like an American buying an obscure British Lord's title and acting the part on a daily basis, just dumb.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but I don't see the point of this piece, and certainly not at 60mm. 'New' pieces which appear to be aimed deliberately at speculators seem a tad cynical imho. This watch in SS or Ti at 44mm would have been a popular serial production seller, whatever the movement.

I think this piece is supposed to be controversial..

and really..to the collector...they don't even bother trying the watch...they just get it..at least that's how it was with a few of my SERIOUS PAM (20+ pieces each) collector friends...

phone call to Chad and its done...not tried on until its at their house and on their credit card

Aye, I guess if the collectors are happy then why not. A smaller version in steel would be very welcome though...

Btw, love the dial on the 323. If they used that in a Luminor case I'd be all over it...

Well said and the manipulation by Richemont of the collectors/flippers of the new PAMs is being done on several levels to the best advantage of Richemont Panerai and their bottom line. Next will be a release of the 44 or 47mm model for 12 to 15K each and a minimum of 1500 pieces in the first run.

But so very few collectors have yet to realize it they are being used and abused.

Not a 341 fan myself (I like to wear everything I have - no safe queens or buying just for the sake of collecting), but that 323 is hot!!! What's the cost on that one?

Looks great until it hits the wrist - then it looks stoopid.

But I admire it as a collectors piece for sure.

I saw one in the flesh the other day... and it looks ridiculously large by "normal" standards. But who knows. Maybe it becomes the new "norm" in a few years time.
