As far as the subs go, I believe they started with the M serial (around 2007) and then V serial and then the Random.

I just got a Sub with a G serial bought a few days ago. Guess that'll be the latest after V serial? But don't really matter to me coz the watch is awesome and I'll wear it like no tomorrow.

V case date started August 2008 now it looks like a change to the serial number system came in somewhere mid January/February 2010 and now we have a few GXXXXXX for a short time in early July 2010 on, then perhaps Rolex had a re-think.And now what I can see of it, the numbers do not run from 000000 to 999999 anymore. But enter the new type serials looks they are made up totally at random, and there can be two letters in the serials as well as numbers. But for myself it don't really matter this serial importance nonsense is vastly overrated IMHO.And it was around 2004 F/D series on some models the Rolex Rolex Rolex started to appear on the Rehaut ring .
