You mean this one?
http://www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/publi...&iSaleNo=18505 Yeah, 22% buyers premium, over $150 to send a pen from US to AU, plus it took like 10 days after auction to finalise shipping. Done it once, not again mate. BTW, the black widow sold for US$20k, a bit lower than the $24k the article indicated. |

Wow, that really bumps up the cost of a bargain. Thanks for the heads-up on the "gotchas"

Well, I've been watching their auctions for the past couples of years. For Montblancs, the Writers' edition pens usually sell very well - like 10-15% higher than one would get in ebay.
For Patron of Arts pens, they are more expensive and sometimes the pens go cheaper than ebay or other boards' sales. The skeletons usually have healthy competitions and they do usually achieve target pricing range. For the normal production pens, they usually go cheap. |

Thank you for your kind words!
![]() Thanks! It has never been used, sadly. I recieved it as a gift from my grandfather this last Christmas. He was a general for the Swedish Olympic committee and recieved this pen as a gift from the Japanese committee. I will ask him to write down the story and keep with the pen! ![]() Thanks ![]() |
