Picking 2

Hard to decide.. Trying to decide on 2 of the 4 for purchase, then that is it for me! All are the same price.

Exp II white face
Exp II black face
GMT red/Black
Datejust Black face with oyster bracelet

Forgot to add, already have Sub LV, that will put a Black Bezel on and will probably put on a Nato for travel purposes. The above pick of 2 will be worn with the SS bracelets.

Chad,

A good and varied selection would be to add a white dial Exp-II and the black dial DJ to your current collection.

Good luck - JJ

Definitely the white dial Ex II. Great for shooting, travel, night vision, motorcycling, you name it. However, I thought my black dial Ex II looked like my Sub's little brother. I traded it for my TT Blue Sub.

I am not a DJ fan. Not even a little bit. I can't get used to the smaller size.

I used to think the Ex II and GMT-II were interchangeable, so I sold my first GMT, but I have found that they are not. I love having both, and now I do.

My vote goes for these 2, however to mix it up a bit more the DJ with fluted bezel and jub bracelet would be my choice.

Definitely get the DJ and then choose between the Exp-II and the GMT-II. They both have the same movement and the same function....except that the Exp-II has a fixed bezel....but then again it has the beautiful white dial!!

No question .... the GMT and the DJ

GMT II red/black is what I started with.Great looking watch. At one stage, try a Jubilee bracelet with the GMT II.The combination of the red/black/steel and polished steel is quite a picture Have seen pictures on the forum of this combo, but does not do it justice. You have to see it for real to appreciate.

I like the look of the ss DJs with coloured dials. The 36mm is just too small for my wrist and build.DJ with fluted bezel, needs a Jubilee.Domed bezel, needs an Oyster. The ss DJs with coloured bezels are "Sporty and Dressy",all in one.

My father in law just got a white dial installed on his DJ (with oyster bracelet) and I must say it really stunned me, It looks wonderful!

If it were up to me I love the DJ with that ice blue color, But its a platinum watch not SS

Man this is hard choice!
Leaning towards getting the GMT II at least for now to start out. Good compliment to the Sub LV. Also can change bezel inserts if so desire. Red/Black looks sharp! Like the slimmer profile thant he sub and smaller clasp. Also like how I can still use the rotating bezel to measure time. Maybe for now get the Red/Black GMT for my upcoming Travel. Take the Sub LV with me and then decide between one of the EXP IIs or Date Just.

I would have to say GMT and DJ. Throw in your Sub and you have the Rolex big 3....

Is there a particular dial you are looking at for the DJ? I know you said black, but sticks, roman numerals, etc?

Looking at the all bacl dial. Luminous stick markers. Smooth bezel. Alternating red/black date. One thing I do not like though is the polished center links. Kind of undecided on that, sometimes looks good - other times too formal. Kinf of looking for an Explorer 1 watch with a Date!

Sorry I'm late to this, been out of town.

I'd go white EXP and GMT. Both will complement the LV. Both give a multi timezone capability. Each brings it's own unique flair to the table. And, You like sports models!

Ok, got the Red/Black GMT.

Now have to decide on the 3rd Model!

Options:

Keep Sub No Date
Exp II White Face
Exp II Black Face
DJ w/oyster Silver face
DJ w/oyster Black Face

Will see what the ADs have in Bangkok, and may end up taking a short trip to Hong Kong (need to visit some friends there anyway!)
